Cea de-a doua parte a trilogiei scrisa de Hilary Mantel, in care este redata o parte din viata de la curtea regelui Henry VIII, respectiv din toamna anului 1535 si pana in mai 1536, cand Anne Boleyn sfarseste pe esafod. Insa personajul central este, ca si in prima parte, Thomas Cromwell.
